Even though the image of the lone wolf writer still haunts academia, I remain committed to collaborating in my research projects. Currently, I am co-authoring two book projects, one on nineteenth-century British poetics and one on antiracist pedagogy. Dr. Erik Gray, Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University, and I are working on Love Among the Poets: The Victorian Poetics of Intimacy, an edited collection of essays that reconsiders familial, friendly, and erotic intimacy in nineteenth-century British poetry. Pedagogy of Space is a collaboration with Dr. Jenny Murphy, Senior Lecturer in Sociology at NDNU. We are writing a book based on our collaborative teaching methods, documenting how to reconfigure and decolonize the classroom space to encourage creative agency, radical belonging and healing.
